Florence in past was the capital of Italy, and Medici’s house. It’s really beautiful and an artistic city. I think that this is the best tour to do in one or two days.





Santa Maria Novella

Located: Piazza Santa Maria Novella.

Is famous for it’s works of gothic art.

Duomo S. Maria del Fiore

Located: Piazza del Duomo.

Created by the architect Brunelleschi. In Renaissance style.

Giotto’s Campanile

Located: Piazza del Duomo.

In marble where you can go up and see a magnificent view. If you look down  you can admire the octagonal Baptistery with its glittering mosaics and Gilberti famous door.

Palazzo Vecchio

Located: Piazza della Signoria.

Where you can admire a lot of master peces works of art.

Where people met in the past. Here you can admire a copy of David.

Uffizi

Located: Piazzale degli Uffizi.

The biggest art gallery in the world with Italian master pices.

Ponte vecchio

Where you can buy in the most beautifull Jewelleries in Florence.

Pitti Palace

Located: Via piazza dei Pitti.

Inside you can see the paintings of Tiziano, Rubens and Raffaello.

Boboli Park

Located: Via Romana.

Where you appreciate the fantastic view of Florence.

 

Typical cooking

Like all Italian cooking is a very poor kitchen but is the best in the world…because… all poor plate are the easiest and the better.

 

If you want eat typical you must absolutely try it:

T-Bone or Fiorentina Beef (you must absolutely taste it)

Arista: is pork roast.

Cantucci: typical cookies absolutely to try with vin santo

Fagioli all’uccelletto: white beans cook with tomatoes

Crostini Toscani: Bread with liver patè

Ribollita is a vegetable soup with bread.

Pappa al pomodoro: tomatoes soup with bread and broth

Acqua cotta: is a mix of vegetable, eggs , bread and pecorino in a soup

Schiacciata d’uva: is a cake with a lot of grape on the top. Is really good but I hate seeds

Red Wine (never ask in a toscan restaurant a sparkling wine)
